Nokia N900 mobile memory tool Evernote

Evernote

The Nokia N900 , the device pretty decent as a smartphone, it still doesn't possess that "must have" factor associated with the iPhone 3GS. Having said that, there weren't a whole lot of quality applications back then, even until today, which is why the Evernote mobile memory tool comes across as a refreshing oasis in the middle of the desert. The Evernote Sharing Plug-in for the Nokia N900 allows users to access Evernote from the device, letting you send photos from the camera and photo gallery, in addition to audio clips. Notes that are conjured from the device itself, or from desktop and web versions of Evernote, are also accessible through the N900's integrated web browser. Best of all is, you don't need to fork out a single cent for the Evernote Sharing Plug-in which is currently available as a free download from the Nokia Ovi Store and the Maemo Select website.

Based on the excitement surrounding the Nokia N900 announcement, Nokia top brass has decided that by 2012 Maemo OS will be the official face of the Nokia high-end family. With the new Nokia N900 sporting the Maemo and a recent announcement by the Maemo marketing team that Nokia will now use the OS for all their N-series phones, it is only natural that people would start assuming that the major phone manufacturer will be doing without Symbian after a while.

Maemo vs Microsoft

Maemo Technology

When IT ADDA reviewed the N97 in August 2009, our reviewer said that "...the Symbian OS that this product runs is not exactly the hottest mobile OS in town." But if he gets his hands on the N900, then there is no way he can make this comment. This is because the N900 is powered by Maemo, a software platform developed by Nokia for their line of Internet Tablets.  While Maemo has been associated with the Nokia N810, this product is an internet tablet and not a phone. The N900, in fact, is the first phone from Nokia that features Maemo on a phone.
